Bred by the Mantei's of Diamond M arabians in Canada, Ras was gifted to me when it was evident he was no longer able to contribute to the breeding program he was currently standing in. The program he was in had retained many of his daughters, and it was evident that a new mare herd needed to be sought out for this wonderful breeding stallion. Fortunately for the both of us, being a lover of the Rashad Ibn Nazeer blood, Ras found his way here to Nebraska to become part of my program, and here he is very dearly loved and appreciated.
Ras belongs to the categories of Straight Egyptian, Al Khamsa, Blue List Eligible, Asil Club eligible, and a Breeding Sweepstakes nominated Sire. Ras is Kuhaylan in strain thru family of Riyala to the mare Rodan. He is also proven in the show ring being a Regional Champion in Halter. A wonderful stallion, very versatile for halter or performance, he is also well trained under saddle as a hunter. He is of stronger bone and conformation (particularly through the hind quarters and hocks - a common weak point in many Arabs), he has strong hooves, his head is short and triangular with a nice pronounced dish, and he has the tiniest ears. His large intelligent eyes, long well set arched neck, free floating athletic action, stamina, and toughness makes him a sire of choice for both halter and performance.
Rasmoniet RSI was sired by the tall Nazeer son, *Rashad Ibn Nazeer, and out of the great mare Bint Moniet El Nefous, making Rasmoniet RSI double Nazeer, and a full brother to Bint Bint Moniet. He descends from one of the most Cherished dam lines known in the Arabian Horse Breed. Rasmoniet RSI was a very talented, world famous show stallion. His outstanding show record included two championships in both Regional Top Five and U.S. National events. He was also a Class A halter champion. Sire of Halter and Performance Champions, in England, Australia, US, and Canada. He was also a full brother to the famed mare Bint Bint Moniet.
Rashad Ibn Nazeer (Nazeer x Yashmak by Sheikh El Arab) was foaled in Egypt in 1955. He was chosen for the late Richard Pritzlaff (owner of Rancho San Ignacio in Sapello/New Mexico) by General Tibor von Pettkoe-Szandtner, the head of El Zahraa at that time, because Nazeer was his favorite stallion, a preference which was shared by Richard Pritzlaff. *Rashad Ibn Nazeer was 15 hands and 2½ inches in height, fine-boned with elegant action and a dry head. He was not a typical representative of the Nazeer blood simply because he wasn't a "pretty" horse. The breeders who saw Rashad were impressed by his cat-like movements and his overall elegance. He was indeed a "beautiful athlete". Richard Pritzlaff, a skilful rider, praised Rashad's ability to sire foals with "excellent withers, sloping shoulder, good legs and a particularly fine neck and throat latch." For Pritzlaff, Rashad was an efficient and dependable breeding animal - a stallion that could be depended upon to pass on his performance ability, his action, and most of all, his friendly disposition. He was Pritzlaff's friend and personal mount. "Colonel Handler (the head of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna) spent several summer vacations at my ranch and trained Rashad and me," he said. "Colonel Handler was astonished how quickly Rashad learned the dressage movements and how elegantly and willingly he performed, and he was impressed on later visits to see how Rashad remembered what he had been taught and how he enjoyed performing. Rashad learned a creditable Piaffe in about ten lessons. Some horses require almost a year to accomplish the same degree in performance.
*Ibn Alaa elDin was imported to North America in 1976 by Jarrell McCraken. He was the sire of 60 offspring including Sheikh el Din(Arabian Western Pl Champ), Ever Amber (HA/AA English Pl AO Champ), AK Rissala, Egyptian Melody (dam of V SHAH EL SAREEI and SHAH EL SAREEI), Scarlet Veil (dam of H B ALAA SHAMIR+ who was Arabian Sport Horse Under Saddle Champ, Arabian English Show Hack Champ, Arabian English Show Hack AT Champ, Arabian Sport Horse Geldings In-Hand Champ, Arabian Mounted Native Costume AT Champ...). *Ibn Alaa elDin was also a full sibling to the mare Safinaz, most famous for producing *Ibn Safinaz (Regional and US National halter and Top 5 English Pleasure), and he was a full sibling to the EAO stallion Anas.
Shamruk++ is only *Ibn Hafiza son of Gleannloch's Nazeer daughter *Bint Maisa El Saghira. Shamruk++ won numerous championships in halter and performance. He took Top Five honors in Region 17 in Halter, English Pleasure and Native Costume. At Scottsdale, Shamruk++ was Top Ten in Halter and native Costume as well, and was undefeated in 1983 Get of Sire classes. Shamruk++ is the leading son of *Ibn Hafiza as a sire, beautifully combining the blood of Sameh and Nazeer, and was *Bint Maisa El Saghira's last foal.
